Feb 2022 PSA World Rankings (Gina Kennedy & Mazen Hesham reach Top 10)

England’s Georgina Kennedy and Egypt's Mazen Hesham have both reached the top 10 of the PSA World Rankings this month.

London-born Kennedy, who was ranked at No.167 this time last year, has had a meteoric rise up the rankings over the past 12 months. Nour El Sherbini extends her reign as World #1 to a 16th successive month, followed by Nouran Gohar, Hania El Hammamy, Amanda Sobhy and Sarah-Jane Perry. The rest of the top 10 is made up of Joelle King, Salma Hany, Camille Serme and Rowan Elaraby.

Mazen Hesham (27 years old), has struggled with a number of injury problems in recent years but recently reached a first PSA World Tour Gold final last month, and he has been rewarded with a three-place rise to No.10. Fellow Egyptian Ali Farag, stays at No.1 for a sixth consecutive month and a 26th month in total and he is followed by World No.2 Paul Coll. Coll will usurp Farag at the summit of the World Rankings on March 1.

Mohamed ElShorbagy stays at No.3, whilst Mostafa Asal has risen above former World Champion Tarek Momen to reach a career-high ranking of No.4. Diego Elias stays at No.6, while Marwan ElShorbagy (No.7), Joel Makin (No.8) and Fares Dessouky (No.9) complete the top 10.
